Healing Your Family - Healing You
Behind most personal and professional issues, we can discover hidden
entanglements in the family system. A 3-day workshop modeled after Bert
Hellinger’s Family Constellation work promises nothing less than
understanding why relationships self-destruct and how we could succeed
with this empowerment to guide and change our lives.
Bert Hellinger, German author, psychoanalyst, poet and healer, brings
a fresh approach to psychotherapy that is intelligent, compassionate and
incorruptible: free from prejudice and moralistic judgments. In his
70's, he has lived 16 years among the Zulu in Africa. He is considered
in Europe as "the most original and creative force in modern
family-systems oriented psychotherapy." In his observations of
several thousand family systems, he has noted age-old "Orders of
love", greater than the conscious will of individuals that operate
in the depths of family organisms. Injuries to these orders of love by
earlier members of a family can affect the lives of later members. The family
soul is involved. His most recent English publication is Love’s
Hidden Symmetry.
Each individual in the workshop has the opportunity to choose from
among the participants representatives for family members, placing them
in relationship to each other. The energy created from this creates a
force-field in which each representative soon starts to think and feel
like the person they represent. This allows the patient to communicate
with these persons. Participants are frequently amazed and deeply
touched when the cryptic love connections within their family systems
are revealed. For instance, could we ever guess that the unhappiness or
health problems we experience could be rooted in the stillborn child of
our grandmother? Or that problems in our current relationship may be
related to an abortion or severe illness or adoption by a mother of
someone in a previous relationship?
When the connection is revealed, it provides an energetic point at
which the individual can engage in the "healing dialogues"
which restore love and the natural order in family systems, replacing
grief, chaos and misunderstandings. The healing produces a stream of
energy and strength from the ancestors that not only brings deep
emotional healing but physical healing as well which can affect not only
the individual but member of the family.

that can come simply and quickly, as in stepping from the dark into the
light...
Observing as well as participating in the work of others is
profoundly healing. Typically, a workshop includes those interested in
